Ethanol, is naturally produced by the fermentation of sugars by yeasts or via petrochemical processes and is commonly consumed as a popular recreational drug. It also has medical applications as an antiseptic and disinfectant.

Hydrogen peroxide, used to inactivate contaminating bacterial spores in the solution and is not an active substance for hand antisepsis.

Glycerol, is used in medical, pharmaceutical and personal care preparations, often as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication, and as a humectant.

Tea Tree Hydrosol, Tea tree oil fights against many strains of bacteria which makes it a very strong antibacterial agent.

Peppermint essential oil, prevent the growth of harmful bacteria.

Citronella essential oil, smells wonderful and is useful sanitising agents that are safe for hands.
